Paper mill facility with components to produce 800TPD of board grade from 100% Recycled fiber.

 

Stock Preparation Equipment

Bale Belt feed to pulpers (2)-motor driven with a head pulley and drum arrangement. Sherbrooke is the OEM. Metal slats. Voith Meri guillotine over conveyor (hydraulic) to cut metal baling wire.

Pulpers (2) one 18’ diameter pulper, one 20’ diameter pulper. Both are Black Clawson. Rotor with extraction plate at the bottom. Rotor drives both 700HP.  Capacity to produce 900tpd pulp from recycled bales of OCC.

High Density Cleaners (3) -removal of heavy materials from the pulp stream. OEM is Thermo Black Clawson. (2015)

Primary & Secondary Pulp Cyclone Cleaners  (6)-Voith but obsolete for spare parts.

Combi-sorters (2) -Voith is manufacturer. Numerous spare parts inventory as well.  

Plate Refiners (6)-3 Double D 38” refiners. 3 Andritz Sprout Bauer 34” TwinFlo model.

Voith Trash Cleaning System (2018)

Trash towers (2) JMT60 -60” diameter 20 feet tall. For extracting heavy trash with a grapple system.

Voith Detrasher Contaminex pumps (2)-move detrashed pulp to the top of the detrashing tower.

Voith Intensamaxx IM15 (2)-Further fiber conservation.

Water Treatment Equipment

Flotation Cells (2). Two SS flotation clarifiers for reuse of white water returned from the paper machine. Manufactured by Poseidon (1992). Models PPM 200 B & PPM 550E. Air feed for these units through Poseidon pumps and a MERI Universal air dissolver tank.

Sludge Thickening

E-Thickener (2012) -Voith Meri 20 disc thickener to thicken sludge pulled from basement water. Spare disc assembly also available.

E-Thickener (2012) – Voith Meri 12disc thickener to thicken solids associated with twin wire belt press operation.

Twin wire belt press OEM is Andritz. Belts are 92” wide by 45’ or 47’ long.

Solids Handling Screw Conveyors-several screw conveyors. Martin is the OEM. Some are shaftless and some are conventional design.

 

Air Handling Equipment

Building Make-up Air Handling utilize waste condensate for heating (2 fans total capacity 155,000cfm) water to air heat exchanger coils to utilize hot condensate before returning to boilers. Northern Blower is the OEM. Both driven by 100HP motors.

Dryer Section Ventilation Fans – 4 axial dryer hood exhaust fans ranging from 35k-55k ACFM.

Steam & Condensate Equipment (Boiler room)

Natural Gas Fired Boiler 70k lbs/hr. Siemens Controls. Foster Wheeler is the OEM.

Condensate Recovery Tanks-high and low pressure condensate recovery tanks for recovering flash steam from condensate return to boilers. Pumps and fiberglass condensate holding tank.

Vacuum Pumps (5) – 3, 4000 series Armstrong vacuum pumps. 2, 9000 series Armstrong vacuum pumps.

 

Paper Machine 1 (500tpd) Medium board produced at a basis weight range of 23-40lbs/(mft)^2 at a speed range of 1400-2300fpm.

Fan Pump- Warren fan pump 20” through 18” discharge with 700HP drive motor. Typical 10,000gpm flow delivered to headbox.

Pulp Screening- Model 70 centri-screen manufactured by Bird Manufacturing. 30” piping connections. Basket with 0.5mm slots. Also secondary screen OEM Black Clawson, Tertiary screen OEM Voith Sulzer.

Centrifugal Cleaning of pulp approach-banks of centrifugal cleaners – Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary headers. Black Clawson Ultra-clone 6” (96), Sprout-Bauer 8” Centri-cleaners (48), Andritz 8” Centri-cleaner(11).

 

GL&V Dilution Headbox (2009)

2nd Press single nip, double felted. Felt widths 207” and felt run lengths of 68’ (top felt) and 55’ (bottom felt). 1200psi, 2250pli nip loading. Polymer covered, blind drilled 59” diameter top and bottom “Jumbo” rolls. Pneumatically loaded double doctor assemblies on both rolls.

Double Felted Dryer sections

1st section – one drive, two steam groups, double felted, pneumatic felt stretches. Felt run length 215’ (both top and bottom felts), felt width 194.5”. Twenty dryer cans at 60” diameter pressure rated to 150psi. Roller bearings on each dryer can. Some rotary and mostly stationary syphons. Partially gear driven.

2nd Section – one drive, one steam group, pneumatic felt stretches. Felt run lengths of 159’ and width of 205” (both top and bottom felts). Oil circulation on roller bearings. Twelve dryer cans at 60” diameter rated to 150psi. Stationary syphons. Full gear driven.

Steam Equipment (Dryers)-Thermo-compressor (3” connections), Flash steam recovery tanks (3).

Valmet Scanner Nuclear source scanner covering a sheet width of 182”. Non- contact scanner head measuring dry fiber weight and moisture in the sheet.

Pneumatic controlled reel

Beloit 2 Drum Winder Speeds capable of 7500fpm. Pneumatic clutch on unwind stand, unwind stand side lay hydraulic controls. Pneumatically loaded rider roll, hydraulic chucks. Tilt table to lower rolls to inclined deck with pneumatic roll stops.  Automated Tidland slitter positioning system.

Dry end reel crane (20 Ton capacity)-bridging and hoisting motors – 2 hooks for lifting 13ton reels of paper. New control package retrofit (2018).

SAF Drive package DC (1995)- drive motor controls for drives the length of the paper machine -Couch roll drive, Wire Turning roll drive, 1st press drive, top jumbo press roll drive, bottom jumbo press roll drive, 1st dryer drive, 2nd dryer drive, reel drum drive, unwind stand drive, winder front and back drum drives.

 

Paper Machine 2 (300tpd) Medium board produced at a basis weight range of 23-26lbs/(mft)^2 at a speed range of 1300fpm (machine idled in late 2022).

Rockwell Drive package AC (2017) -AC Motor drives installed in 2017 to control motors the length of Paper machine 2. Drives include Couch roll, 1st Press, 2nd Press, table rolls, 1st Dryer, 2nd Dryer, Drum reel, Reel spool starter.

Pulp Screening- Model ?? centri-screen manufactured by Bird Manufacturing. 18” piping connections. Basket with 0.5mm slots.
